There are many well wishers who have come forward to support us by sponsoring trainees through an annual donation of Rs.22000/-. One well-wisher from Kuwait, who does not want to disclose his name, is supporting one of our Theeram centers with a substantial monthly contribution. Almost all of our supporters and donors are consistently reminding us not to reveal their names and identity. To keep our transparency and accountability we are forced to reveal those good gestures of support which we are sure will serve as a great source of motivation for others to be part of this noble cause.
A New Maruthi Van for Theeram
We are so pleased to let you know that Theeram now has a new Maruti Van! We have been able to purchase this new vehicle through a generous support from our friends in USA. Mr.Cherian Jacob initiated this venture and a matching grant was offered by V. Rev. Dr. Abraham Thomas Corepiscopa on behalf of Vazhayil Extended Family Trust, Boston & Veliyanad. Our profound thanks to V.Rev.Dr. Vazhayil Thomas Abraham and Rev. Dn. Anup and Cherian Jacob.
An Exemplerary Christmas Caroling!
Six students of our Kuwait Sunday School from LKG to standard VII celebrated Christmas this year through a very meaning gesture. They went caroling and sang songs for Theeram. They were able to raise an amount for Theeram which was forwarded to us by thier teacher. Our hearty congratulations to those students on their wonderful act of charity and we also express our gratitude to them and to their teachers who have motivated them.
Thanks and Gratitude
The Satyam Ministries Trust, Thiruvalla has given New Year gifts to all our Theeram Trainees. The gift items are valued around Rupees 400/-. The total amount of their gift is calculated to be worth Rupees 70000/-. We expess our thanks and gratitude to Satyam Ministries.
We also extend our thanks to the members of Rotary Club of Chingavanam for their contribution of a brand new Television set for the Theeram center, Kurichy. The Television set was received for Theeram by Dr.Kuriakose Corepiscopa Moolayil form the Rotarians at their family meeting on Feb 3, 2008
Mr. Elias and Dona Kavalappara, London visited the center and stayed with the children extending their support. They also gave Rs.25,000/- to the general fund. They promised their willingness to organize friends of Theeram Chapter at London in the near future. All well wishers they are requested to contact Mr. Elias Kavalappara.

Grama Panchayaths Extending Support to Theeram
Different Grama Pachayaths came forward with helping hands to Theeram centres and to Theeram Trainees individually. We are extremely happy that the welfare of the mentally children were included as part of the projects of different Grama Panchayats. Our advocacy role at different levels is now starting to bear fruits. These are only a starting. We hope and pray that all Grama Panchayaths will volunteer to come forward to support these persons to equip them to stand on their own feet.
We Acknowledge with the Helps of the Following Panchayaths
1. Vakathanam Panchayath.
Vakathanam Panchayath gave Rs.1000/- each to 15 Trainees directly to their parents during 2006-2007. They gave this year three Paper making units to Theeram centre worth Rs.100, 000/-
2. Madappally Panchayath gave Rs. 68800/- for 14 Theeram Trainee’s as scholarship the amount was handed to their parents at a function held at Theeram. .. Maniamma Rajappan, the President of Madappally Panchayath distributed the amount. ICDS officer Ms.Shaila participated.
3. Kurichy Panchayath gave Rs. 35000/-during 2007 as uniform grant for Theeram Trainees. They also gave Paper bag machine and tailoring machine for our Centre. This year Kurichy Panchayath gave Rs-54000/- for 9 trainees as scholarship. Scholarship.
The amount was handed to their parents at a function held at Theeram. K.D. Sugunan, the President of Kurichy Panchayath distributed the amount. M.N.Muraleedharan Member of the Panchayath spoke at the occasion.
4. Kasargod, Kayyur- Cheemeni Panchayath gave Rs- 33000 for Theeram trainee’s scholarship and for their transporting expense.K.Sakunthala, President handed over the cheque to Theeram( Transportation Assistance) and the parents (Individual Scholarships) ICDS officer Ms.Sarasamma participated.
5. Alappad Panchayath gave Rs.52500 for Theeram trainees as scholarship. The amount was handed to their parents
6. Kunnamthanam Panchayath gave Rs.28067/- for 13 theeram trainees as Scholorship. The amount was handed to their parents
